The weekend was full of technical challenges and course cautions. During qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday Damon had issues with the car overheating. The TechSport mechanics and team worked to find the cause of the issue, and replaced the radiator overnight hoping this would resolve the problem.
Race 2 on Sunday had two full course cautions called only minutes apart as two different teams suffered crashes. Damon faced continuing mechanical issues early in the race, and was unable to finish. “It was disappointing and not at all how I wanted my weekend to go. We know now that it was an engine issue, and the whole engine will be replaced before the next race. I hope to come back stronger for the next one with a clean slate”.
The Going Pro team will move to Portland International Raceway July 12th – 14th for rounds 9 and 10 of the 2019 TC America season.
